- To present information about myself and
qualifications
- To relay information to my students and
parents.
- To share information with the Vilseck athletes
whom I coach
Welcome to my "Coach's Corner" where you
can find up-to-date information about the Vilseck HS football and soccer
programs, the Social Studies classes I teach (World Regions, American
Government, Psychology, and Sociology) and my basic expectations of students and
student-athletes.
This school year (2007-2008) marks the beginning of my fourth year with DoDDS
(and Vilseck HS) and my eleventh as an educator. I've taught 7th and 9th
grade English Language Arts at the middle school level, ELA Lab, 9th & 11th ELA,
Psychology, and Sociology at the high school level, as well as serving as Head
Football Coach and Head Soccer Coach for the boys team. I've also assisted
in coaching the boys basketball team the past three years.
Prior to working at DoDDS, I worked for the University of Maryland University
College in several locations in SE Germany teaching numerous history classes as
an Associate Collegiate Professor from 1997 'til present teaching on-line, as
well. I continue to teach for them as an Adjunct Professor when I have
time.
I received my BA in History from Cameron University (Lawton, OK) in 1987, my MS
in Behavioral Science (specialization "History and Humanities"), from Cameron in
1996), a second BA in English from UMUC in 2002, and am currently working on my
PhD in Education (specialization "Teaching and Curriculum") with Northcentral
University (Prescott, AZ). I currently hold teaching certificates for
grades 6-12 in English, Government, Geography, Economics, World History, U.S.
History, and Oklahoma History.
Past employment and exploits include working as a restaurant manager for Mexican
cuisine, serving in the Oklahoma Army National Guard, serving on active-duty in
the field artillery for the U.S. army, working in a rock quarry as a miner,
singing in various rock bands here in Germany, and playing football at the
semi-pro and pro level here in Germany.
